NEW US made  Pontiac oil filter housing or adapter, correct gasket and 3 flange head bolts.
Replaces cast # 5579457.
Correct for All 64-72 A body cars - including 64-72 GTO, Lemans and Tempest
Correct for All 70-79 (80-81 with older engine) Firebird and Trans Am
Correct for Ram Air GTOs, 70 and newer Firebirds and Trans Ams
Also correct for all 71 and newer Pontiac Full size, Grand Prix Lemans GTO Grand Am Grandville and many others
Not correct but will work for 67-9 Firebird (Except RAM AIR with long branch manifolds)
Not correct but will work for 65-70 Fullsize Pontiacs
Why take a chance with your engine with a used housing??
Why search or over pay for correct looking hardware that is not grade 8?
My bolts are grade 8 and flange head bolts were used in the 70's by Pontiac (not correct head markings for concourse resto)
Why search for a gasket - this kit has gasket included - complete as shown.
I've had to discard many used Pontiac housings for  the following reasons:
bad oil filter seal flanges (they have to be perfectly flat and smooth)
bad oil pressure sender threads (over tightened)
Bad block to seal flange area.
It's really frustrating to spend the time cleaning a used housing, only to find its defective!
