1957 Chevrolet 2505S Carter Carburetor & Foil Tag Dated C7 Survivor 57 Corvette

Description

Offered here is one nice USED, Original Carter 2505S 4 Barrel Carburetor.
This carburetor was used on the 1957 Chevrolet Corvette and the Early Passenger Cars.
It still has it's original foil tag with the part # 2505S and the date code of C7 (March 1957).
This carburetor is complete EXCEPT for 1 screw that secures the retaining ring around the black choke cover.
The choke butterfly and all other butterflies open and close smoothly.
It has 6-1271 on the air horn and 0-1108 on the main body. Since it looks like the base has never been removed, I decided not to remove it to check that number.
It would be a great core for restoration.
I am sure it will need at least a rebuild kit installed before using it as it has been setting on the shelf for a few decades..
